Happy Birthday To Me!

Oh well, another year for me and i can't deny the fact that i'm really getting old. LOL. Nah, but you know what? This will be one of the most special and for sure, memorable birthdays i will have. But i don't want to start getting cheesy again. Hehe. We'll have a simple celebration with family and friends tonight and of course, with my BA. I was told that i'll be getting surprises. Not just a surprise, huh but surprises. I really can't wait to have them. (",)

On To Westward Is Over; On To Eastward Is Next

If I were to rate my life the past week it could have been my busiest ever, but, nevertheless, my most exciting and adventurous week in years. I think you already know that I had a visitor who came from the eastward and he simply changed my routine in an instant. But of course, he is here for his much-awaited vacation and I can’t just let him stay at home the whole day like what I used to do before he came. Since the first day of his arrival, I’ve been out of the house the whole day, every day. We just go back home before dinner because that’s where we spend our evening and have our dinner. We even got out of town a couple of days ago. It has been a tiring week for me since I’m not used to going out every day but it has been wonderful and it hasn’t ended yet for we are starting on our second week of spending every day together. And I know it still won’t be enough. We’ve already talked about many things but there are still a lot of important things to talk about.

Just last night we had a conversation about me having my ultimate trip soon. I think you already know what I mean. We talked about having my things shipped and getting the help of international removals. He even kidded me that my belongings, which include numerous blouses, would probably cost him an arm and a leg to pack and ship. I kidded him back that he better select affordable international REMOVALS so it won’t be a pain on his neck, or his wallet.....Hee-hee-hee.

But seriously, making that trip of mine come true soon is something that we both look forward to, and we need to have a lot of patience since it’s not all that simple and it will take some time before our goal or, better yet, our dream will come into reality. But anyway, maybe we should start checking for those affordable international removals. Good idea, right?

A Week Ago Today

The Big Angel that I've been raring to meet finally landed. The start of his journey on to westward was an adventure, literally. But it is a long story and I can't make it short. LOL. His adventure continues, though, and it won't end for another nine days. But so far everything has been super duper exciting and how I wish there's no ending to it, but I know it's far from possible. Well, for now, I guess.

But anyway, patience is a virtue. We'll just enjoy every single day of being together, not letting any minute go to waste. Hee hee. Here I go again, starting to get cheesy. LOL. Oh well, today is another day, another adventure. And it's something that I look forward to everyday. (",)

Coventry Health Care

Things have not been good with my dear friend Leo lately. His mom is not well and there’s just so much pressure on him to the point that his vacation trip could have been cancelled because of the situation. But she was okay a week before the trip, and on his day of departure she seemed as well as she had been in weeks, so he went on with his travel plans, only to find out a few days after his arrival that his mom’s condition had worsened. His brother called him a couple of days ago informing him about it. His mom is now in the hospital which has made Leo so worried. He knows he can’t do anything about it and trusts everything to her doctor, the one who knows best about his mom’s condition, and to God, who knows all.

More so Leo is just so thankful that his mom has health insurance so there’s no concern about the hospital expenses. There’s also a possibility of having his mom brought to a rehabilitation center for her full recovery after being released from the hospital. Leo is open to all of it as long as it’s the best thing to do for his mom. He has nothing to worry about the expenses though since everything will be covered by his mom’s health insurance.

Leo also mentioned to me about the many different health insurance companies in his country, Coventry Health Care included, and the benefits of having a coverage policy. Yes, I do know how essential it is and it is definitely a must have.

It Could Have Been...

...his 34th birthday today. I was referring to my husband who passed away three years ago at age 30. It is a sad thought but nevertheless, i do believe that he is happy where he is now. My BA, Yogi and I paid him a visit at his tomb this morning. We brought him flowers and we lighted candles too. We went to hear mass afterwards though we were not able to finish it because Yogi was already complaining of stomach pains. The mass was at 12:00 o'clock noon and he was already hungry. But anyway, i've said my prayers and that's the most important thing, i know.

Stemulite

I’ve always been skinny. The only time that I’ve ever really gained weight was when I was pregnant with my son, but still it wasn’t that much. And up to this time, I’m still struggling to gain weight. I’d love to gain a little though, just enough to hide those prominent bones that are so noticeable on a skinny person. I’ve actually tried a few supplements already, hoping to gain weight, but I wasn’t successful even once and my shape has stayed the same.

One reason I desire to gain some weight is because I’ve always been told that I’d look better if I was a little chubby, maybe rounded out just a bit more in the right places, if you know what I mean. I was thinking of sampling stemulite. I heard about it from a friend and trying it has been running through my mind for some time now. I’ve yet to decide, but the thought that maybe it is what my body has been waiting for for so long is giving me more impetus to make that decision. Hmmm, we’ll see about it, but that now or never scenario is about to turn into now’s the time.

A Godmother to Marcellin

Yesterday was a celebration not just for me (*wink*) but for my best friend Nimfa as well because it was her son's christening, her first child. It was also the best time for my best buds and i to be together. They are my friends since college and i know they will be till the end. We haven't been together for a while though we keep in touch regularly, and yesterday was another bonding moment for all of us.

Nimfa's son was baptized yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, and was named Marcellin. And of course, that special day won't be complete without having us, her best buddies, as godmothers. Hehe.

Diagnosis: Pneumonia

I haven't blog hopped, haven't plurked and haven't updated my blogs in the last three days. The reason? My son Yogi was admitted. He's been having cough, sniffles and on and off fever for the last two weeks. We visited his Pediatrician last week and he was prescribed medications. The problem is, he would end up gagging whenever he takes his antibiotics. So the solution to the problem, and i believe the only remedy is to have him admitted since antibiotics can be given through intravenous injection. So i had him admitted on Wednesday afternoon.

Before we brought him to the hospital, i already have this feeling that what he has is pneumonia since some of the symptoms were already visible. And i wasn't wrong. It was indeed pneumonia. But he's okay now since he doesn't have fever anymore. But he'll still be on treatment for the whole week and we'll visit his doctor again after a week for a follow-up check up.

I Can’t Wait To Have A Vacation

Vacation! Vacation! Having one has been running through my mind as of late. I’ve been really stressed out these past few days, not just from work but from the environment that revolves around me. It can be tiring not only physically but emotionally and mentally, as well. How I wish I could have a vacation somewhere where I could bring along my family, and maybe even a couple of my close friends. And what better place for the ultimate family vacation to take place other than in Mexico where we would enjoy not only the amazing beaches, but also the excellent service of Karisma Hotels and Resorts.

But it will remain wishful thinking for the moment since my hectic schedule hinders me from having that special dream vacation. Perhaps soon, though, and I can’t wait to make it happen.

Blackwater Operation: Under Siege

As i've mentioned before, my brother is into Airsoft and being the enthusiast that he is, he and his teammates are going to host their first ever Annual Airsoft Tournament entitled "Blackwater Operation: Under Siege" which will be on September 5 & 6, this year. The event which will be participated by Airsoft enthusiasts from different provinces of Mindanao will showcase skills and strategies of an Airsofter which a lot of people now find exciting. It will be an event that should not be missed.

GenSan will be celebrating Tuna Festival on September 5 that is why they chose the date for the said game. Maybe you'd like to witness the event too. Everyone is invited so, hope to see you then!

Farewell President Cory

Yellow ribbon, the ribbon that symbolizes support, sympathy and prayers for the late former President Corazon Aquino who will be brought to her resting place today. I've been seeing the ribbon on television, on social networking sites and even on blogs. And yesterday, my son arrived home with a yellow ribbon pinned on his uniform. That's how the former president is loved.

This day was declared a holiday by our president as we all give salute to the former president who gave back our freedom to us.

Farewell President Cory. May you rest in peace.
