Nostalgia #12: Sarangani Highlands

Thursday, September 30, 2010

Photobucket

A friend downloaded pictures of Sarangani Highlands, a restaurant located on top of a hill, in her Facebook account with her fiance' the other week and browsing their photos put me back in time when my fiance' and I visited the place.

It was my fiance's second day here in the city and it was the first place that I thought of to take him for a lunch. There were no customers that time aside from us so it felt like it's a lunch date made exclusively for us. (",)

He loves the place so much because it reminds him of his city where you can see mountains from afar. Our city is surrounded by mountains and you can see it from the restaurant. Sarangani Bay can also be viewed from there and you can actually feel the gentle breeze from the bay. The resto is surrounded with beautiful plants too and these bonsai plants here were just some of them. Bonsai plants never fail to fascinate me that's why I made sure to get some snap shots.

Here's one!

Here's another one!

And another one!

That's Sarangani Bay! See the mountains?

We will certainly visit the place again soon...upon my fiance's return. (",)

The place reminds me of my hometown in Bohol. It's like that view, mountain on the side and viewing a bay. Our house is up on a mountain that high too. Perfect scene. I am not familiar of sarangani sis.

@Imriz
You're right, Pacman is the congressman of Sarangani Province. Actually, Sarangani Highlands is not really a part of the province but they probably named it that because it's overlooking Sarangani Bay. Highlands is still part of General Santos City (GenSan) where I reside as well as Pacman himself. (",)

@Vhen
Sarangani is in Mindanao. Thanks for following. Will follow you back. (",)

@Vernz
Woooo...who could it be? I know him? Hmmm...is he a politician or something? Nakaka intriga ka naman. Haha.

@Chubskulit
Ganda nga, Sis. Wala pang date. Hehe.

@Jenn
Hope you could visit the place someday. (",)

@Roxxy
Ganda nga ng bonsai, ganda rin nga price. Hehe.

@Mel Cole
Ganda nga rin daw ng Bohol. Never been to Bohol yet. Hopefully, I'll get to visit the place someday.
