Silver and Gold Could Mean Wealth Untold

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Finding something that is worth investing in that would give me my money’s worth in return has been running through my mind for a while now. I’ve been constantly checking and reading about investing, including those successful stories of investors which are really inspiring.

I’ve read about several investment options and opportunities and I must say, it’s been giving me difficulty because all of them just seem too good to be true. One investment that really caught my attention and got me hooked into researching even more is about investing in gold and silver bullion. The idea of investing in those entities is really fascinating since I’ve always loved gold and silver when it comes to jewelry. Not to mention, a lot of people have been successful at it. Am I the next one? That remains to be seen since I still have to work on it, but here’s hoping! (“,)

Nostalgia #7: 16 Days in Paradise

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Photobucket

August 23rd of last year was when my BA set his foot in our city's soil for the first time and the first day too that we saw each other in the flesh, and it was really a very lovely moment to reminisce. That was only the start of our wonderful 16 days together though which he later called as his 16 days in paradise. He really felt that he was in paradise with me. Char! Hee hee. And to remember those moments which had been a year ago already, I've included photos that were captured then.

These photos were both taken at the hotel. The first one was at the front yard and the second one was at the lounge while we were waiting for our snack.

Top left photo was taken at Sarangani Highlands (our first date; on the 24th); top right was at his hotel room (picture taken by my son Yogi); bottom left was taken on my birthday while I was opening his presents for me; bottom right was when we visited my cousin's farm. At the back were the pineapple fields of Dole.

The highlight of his visit was on the day that he proposed and that was on the 25th of August which was also our 6th Monthsary. That's the ring that we bought the next day. He didn't bring one because he didn't have any idea of my ring finger size. (",) The white gold necklace was his monthsary gift and the cake is my birthday cake that he bought for me.

Reminiscing those 16 days makes me miss him the more now. If only I could drag the days so we'll be together again. (",)

My Palace Will Be Awaiting Me

Friday, August 20, 2010

Hearing my fiancé’s voice sounding so giddy last weekend made me feel so excited too. It always feels good to hear people with a happy voice. He was so excited to tell me the good news and that’s in regard to his home renovation. He’s been planning about it for a while and at last, he got it started last weekend. Good boy!

With the help of his stepson, he was able to start the repainting of the bedrooms and the kitchen. There is still a lot of work to be done which includes repainting of the rest of the house, changing the carpet, putting new flooring in the kitchen, dining and living room, putting up new venetian blinds because the old ones were already worn out, etc. The Venetian blinds still looked good to me but my fiancé says he wanted everything to be new and that includes new furniture too. The only thing left old will be the house, I guess. It is still in good shape, though, and I know it still can stand despite strong winds and storms, and my temper. Hee hee.

I am really excited to see the renovation completed and so is my fiancé. That’s why he’s so eager to get it all done soon. Make good, Honey and make sure everything is perfect for your li‘l Queen! (“,)

Nostalgia #6: Here Comes the Bride

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Photobucket

It was a long day for me yesterday as well as for my Mom, SIL Karen, Bro Erwin and their 3-month-old baby, Summer. We spent the whole day roaming around the city but I must say the highlight of the day is the fitting session at my SIL and Bro's wedding's official couturier, Patahian. There's only three months left before the wedding which will be on the 18th of November and both families are really excited now. Me included no doubt because I am the cord sponsor.

That's Karen with the couturier, Popoy measuring her vital statistics. LOL. I made sure snap shots were taken for remembrance and watching them put me back in time, in 2002 to be exact when I also had my fitting session for my wedding. (",)

What a Heavy Necklace a Gold Bar Would Make!

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

It’s gloomy again today like it has been the past three weeks or so but, gladly, I don’t feel lazy today like I am usually am when the weather is like this. I feel so energized and have just kept on browsing the internet since the moment I woke up. I’m usually napping at this time of the day, more often than not, but today is different. That’s so because I wanted to learn more about investing and what’s the best thing to invest my money in. I’ve been reading about gold bar investments and I find it really interesting.

I used to think gold was only used for jewelry but actually it’s not. Well, at least now I know and I’ve learned that from browsing more often. I’m still reading about it and I’m still learning. I do believe I have more to learn and that gets me hooked into reading even more. Read about it too and for sure, you will really find it interesting like I do.

Nostalgia #5: Delish Durian Fruit

Photobucket

Mom's been telling me to buy Durian fruit since two days ago and I do believe today is no different. For sure, she will remind me again later. I do love Durian and so does my son, Yogi but it has been quite expensive lately since it's not the fruit's season. During its season, a kilo would normally cost Php 35.00. But now the cheapest is Php 65.00 per kilo. Duh! Never mind then. The last fruit we bought cost me Php 200+ and it was gone in just a blink of an eye. LOL. I was like, there goes my 200. Hee hee. I'll buy one soon but not now yet. Okie dokie, Mom? We'll get there. (",)

Here's the last one we've got! Yum!

I'm drooling...

Painting the Town Red

It was a night of fun, laughter, excitement and of course, good food. One of the girls, Hazel celebrated her birthday on the 30th but since she's going to celebrate that day itself with her family, so we celebrated it ahead on the 29th.

Since we all love singing in the videoke, we got an exclusive room at a KTV resto and sang the night away. We then visited a new place afterwards but there wasn't much to see in that place yet. So, we left and headed to a coffee shop and had our share of their delicious, not to mention, expensive coffee. Hehe. It was such a good night!!!

My Crystal Ball is Hazy. What Lies Ahead For me?

Sometimes I do wonder what the future holds for me. Will it be hard or will it be easy. I know life is not always easy but we can make good things happen with the determination to reach whatever goal we have. My ultimate goal is to have a happy and fulfilling life, a life that has an abundance of good food, happiness and love, and perhaps a few material things too. But I won’t be able to achieve that by just thinking and dreaming about it and not doing anything at all. That’s why I think of things to grow my money and not only doubling it, but possibly even tripling it, or more.

Investing smartly is one of the keys, I know, according to what people have told me. And one good investment that they’ve mentioned is gold. Just hearing the word gold seems like an impossible dream; something that only the rich can afford. But after reading more about it and how to buy gold, I was enlightened. I could invest in it if I choose too, as you can too. Read and research and discover the tricks of the trade. Yes, even us not-so-wealthy people can be rewarded for making wise financial decisions.

Barking Like A Dog

I had colds on Thursday last week and I've been coughing a day after that and until today. I am feeling a lot better though as compared to the previous days but I am still coughing from time to time and I am really tired of this. Coughing giving me stomach pains and head aches too and it's really awful.

Thursday night last week was actually the most difficult time for me because my lungs were congested which gave me difficulty in breathing and it made me awake the whole night. There was a whistling sound whenever I breathe and I almost felt like I will pass out any minute. I was dizzy the next day but was relieved after nebulizing. I totally forgot about the nebulizer because my sister borrowed it. I only remembered it around mid-afternoon, after I felt much worse than the previous day.

But I do believe I am on my way to recovery now. Get well soon to me!

Bombarded With Spam Comments

It wasn't like this before that is why I didn't moderate my comments but lately, spammers have just been bombarding me with spam comments most especially on my food blog. I just ignored them before but it's totally intolerable as of late. I already got 101 spam comments after only three days of not checking my food blog and for me, it is something alarming already. I had to moderate my comments since then.

A friend told me that Mr. G might consider my blog a spam blog if it will continue to be like that. I wasn't aware of that. Is it really true? I hope it won't reach to that point though because I would really cry. Hehe.

Dreams of Being a Businesswoman

Hearing my sister talking about starting a family business took me back to the time when I thought of going into business for myself. It just didn’t materialize for many reasons; a few problems arose before I even got seriously started. But it doesn’t mean I’m forgetting about that dream of mine. I’m still hoping that one day it will happen for me.

For now, I am thinking of investment first - a much smaller initial goal than building a business, and perhaps less problems too. It totally depends on how I handle things. I’ve already been reading vigorously about gold bullion and investing in it. I’m still in the process of learning more about it and understanding it. We’ll see where this will lead me. There may be a pot o’ gold at the end of my rainbow dreams.

She's 3!

Our bundle of joy, my niece, Summer has already turned three months old on August 5th. I can still remember the first day I laid my eyes on her and she still seemed so fragile then. But look at her now. Isn't she a cutie? Some people say she looks like her Dad while some say she looks like her Mom. Mine is different. She looks like my SIL's father and sometimes my SIL's aunt. A combination of both, if I may say so. Well, whoever she resembles, she's adorable and that's for sure. (",)

Building Not Only a Home, But on the Dreams of Ownership

Thursday, August 5, 2010

I had a conversation with my sister yesterday. She was so happy that the loans she applied for, home and credit, were both approved almost at the same time. She never expected it to happen so quick and it really came as a surprise to her and her husband. They’ve been praying that both would be approved but they never expected it to happen so soon. Good for them.

I am so happy to hear the good news because I know how they’ve been needing those loans. It’s been their dream to build a house on their newly bought lot in one of the subdivisions here. They do have a house now but it is already too small for them, especially since their family is growing. They already have three kids and they need to get moving because before they know it, they’ll already has three grown up kids and perhaps, another addition to the family soon, but no additional room to store them. LOL!

Starting today, I know she will be busy getting all the jobs done which includes processing the needed documents for the house construction to be started. I am getting excited myself knowing that this is what they’ve been waiting for for such a long time, not to mention that I can’t wait to see their new house. Thanks for the loans! A dream will be fulfilled soon because of it. (“,)

Nostalgia #4: My Cherub is Sick

August of last year was when my 7-year-old son, Yogi was admitted due to pneumonia. And these pictures here were taken during our three day stay in the hospital. I am reminded of it today because my little one is sick again, and it's almost the same time as last year. He was having dry cough and has this whistling sound whenever he breathes. I was afraid he was having pneumonia again but thankfully, not. His cough was due to food allergy. He was prescribed medicines and hopefully, he will be fine soon.

This was taken early in the morning and there's Yogi, still sleeping.

This was already around mid-morning. He's showing off his right hand with the dextrose in it while his left hand is holding a hotdog sandwich.

And this one was taken in the afternoon while he was watching his favorite cartoon show, Tom and Jerry.

Get well soon, Yogi!
